learntofly2With Santa Monica Aviation flight instruction programs, you’ll quickly become a knowledgeable, competent pilot. You can learn at your own pace. On your own terms. The one-on-one instructor student training works around your schedule and level of comfort. Another benefit of learning from SMA is training on a dependable “Garmin G1000 glass cockpit Simulator”. The G1000 flight deck package simplifies all primary flight, engine and sensor data for intuitive, at-a-glance awareness, which makes learning to fly easier than ever.

SMA students take an average of four months to a year to earn their pilot’s certificate, about 30 percent faster than the national average. So you can spend less and earn your wings faster.

Come in and visit Santa Monica Aviation and take your first Discovery flight with us. It’s not a serious commitment. More like a first date, with flight. Then, when you’re ready to begin your journey to becoming a pilot, we’ll set you up with a friendly Flight Instructor, the materials you need, and a reliable Cessna aircraft.

Learn to Fly Process

learntoflyAs with everything in life that is truly worthwhile, training to become a pilot, requires a certain investment of time and money. Rest assured. We’ll walk you through the program. Step by step. Take your first flight, the Discovery Flight, from SMA Pilot Center. You and a Certified Flight Instructor will take a 30-minute-long flight to familiarize you with the airplane, the airport and the general awe of taking the controls of a safe, reliable Cessna aircraft for the first time.
